Did you know there could be archaelogical field monuments in your townland aera of the Athenry Parish. The following is a list of things that is in the Athenry Parish aera. Athenry town itself will be excluded from the following list. I am focasing on the surrounding aeras in this article. The list is from a book called Recorded Protected Structures of Ireland which was compiled by the local Galway County Council. You can read in the Athenry library lobby.
